What A Day...

Okay so I've kinda skipped Christmas. Just left it too long. Will try and do a photo collage I think. Easy way out? You bet!

But I just had to share this ...

You know those days when you have nothing planned? You wake up - for me today it was at 10am! Holy Crap! It's been a long time since I've slept in that late - and you lie in bed thinking about what you could do because you have nothing on.

It's a rarity here. Usually our calendar is all full up with different things happening (on the weekends especially) so when we do have a weekend free, it's usually filled up quickly with all the things we've been wanting to do. But today was different. There was nothing.

So I called my soul sister. And no, she's not my sister by blood. But man, we are kindred spirits her and I. We have been friends since we were 13. And together we have managed to get through a lot. Too much, I sometimes think, for people who were so young when all the really "grown up" things were happening to us. But we're here. We made it. And we're family. It's not about blood. It's about a much deeper, karmic connection. Kindred. And it runs through to my girls too, especially Miss Tween.

Anyway, I called her. She had nothing doing either. Another rarity for us to even be able to spend a whole day together. And we decided to meet up and just see where the day took us. So I made the girls pack everything. A spare change of clothes, underwear, swimmers, towel, sunscreen and scooters. I wanted to be prepared for anything.

We didn't need any of it. We ended up at the Crystal Castle. Oh man! That place.

I don't know if words can capture what it is like.

Family!

So here are some pics ...

Free face painting for the kids. :)

The girls all chose their own deity (they made a small coin donation which gets collected and donated to the schools and kindy in the community). Interestingly, they all chose a different one. And even more interesting, each one chose a deity that captured perfectly their own spirit.

And everything is set out so beautifully.
The gardens were amazing!

Miss Tween even sat through a guided meditation - so timely for her and she was so good at it.

It was honestly like we were meant to go there that day. It all just fell into place and there were so many subtle things happening around us to make us feel like we'd made the perfect choice for the day (aside from my slightly neurotic moment in the gift shop. You can imagine the amount of crystals and, therefore, breakables in that shop! 'Nuff said?).

But spending a day with my bestie! That was the icing on the cake!

And I'll just say this ...

Visit it. Now.

That is all.

I love days like that and I love Crystal Castle - I always feel quite energised when I leave.

Have a great rest of the day !

It is on our "to do" list. But am worried I may have issues persuading Boy 1 to ever leave there.

Oh, and his aura phot was gold/red. ;-)

Wow - that place looks amazing. I've never heard of it, but I think I'd like to visit.
