And now for the bad news....

So, we're not that great at keeping fish alive. Dogs and cats, no problems, but fish, well they just don't seem to like us.

When AJ was a little younger they used to go to work with Daddy for the day and, of course, Daddy would bring "the same one" (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) home again.

Then as she got a little older and could understand the concept she was given the choice of burying them, throwing them in the bin or flushing them just like Nemo.

We had a couple that got wrapped in glad wrap and thrown in the bin after shedding a tear and calling a friend. Burying was never one of her chosen practices and flushing them has since become her preferred method of farewelling her friends. We have a little ritual where she will always say "off you go, just like Nemo".

But I got to thinking the other day (obviously had alot on that day) and it has come to my attention that our fish do not go out into the big wide world of sewerage only to end up back in the ocean just like our friend Nemo. Oh no, no, no. They actually don't travel all that far home.

How will our girls cope when they are old enough to realise that their precious fish end up down the back of our paddock due to our old septic tank method that was installed probably 30 odd years ago?

And this is just one of the many reasons we are saving up money for their therapy in years to come!

Happy Easter...

Well, after receiving some inspiration from a blogging friend, thanks Jenna, ; ) we decided we would colour some easter eggs.

No time for a kit, don't even know if we have egg dying kits here, but after we searched our good friend Google we found some ideas we liked.

So here are the results. Not great, but not bad for a first attempt. AJ's and Daddy's turned out the best. Mine, well, let's just say, they are average at best.

This one's for keeps...

Oh, and, note to self: Do not blow the yolk out, as the damn things float and you have to hold them in the dye. I'm still getting the dye off my hands as you can see by the picture. Thank goodness we only did one of those to keep and the rest were hard boiled.

Happy Easter.....

Put your hands up in the air.....

And wave 'em like ya just don't care....

That they're not even waving higher than your head! ROFL

One of the funniest things in the world has to be watching an infant/toddler put their arms up to touch the top of the head. They really have to stretch to get there!

I think I shall endeavour to take a photo next time Schmoo does it!

Would you like milk with that....?

I think I may have used our coffee machine one too many times in recent months.

Why? I hear you ask.

I wish I knew how to record something for this blog because Schmoo's favourite thing to do, apart from eat anything that is lying around - not limited to but including tissues, rocks, cardboard, paper, right down to just a speck on the floor which can't be deciphered - is to crawl around the house imitating the milk frother thingy.

It is too funny and oh so cute!
